As a new Support Worker on the Autism & Beyond team and having completed your example online training session, it's now time for you to complete the official online training within the first 14 days of employment. You have 14 days to complete this, and 30 days maximum to finalise and provide remaining checks and certificates if not already obtained. It's crucial to start organising these immediately if you don't already have them, eg. booking your first aid/CPR in, applying for a Blue Card, requesting an Australian Police Check, and asking your vehicle insurer to provide evidence or update your cover as required. At the end of the 14 or 30 days (or as soon as all training and onboarding is completed, the sooner the better!) we will assess your level of commitment, communication and task actioning to determine suitability to continue on in the role and be able to work with clients. This is a probation period remember! We want you to success and be happy in this role for the long-term. Now it's up to you to make that happen!
